We are pleased to announce that Angela Katz DeRobertis, MD has joined the Maddock Center for Radiation Oncology. Dr. DeRobertis graduated with honors from Georgetown University and received her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University. She completed her residency training at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she went on to teach as an Asst. Professor of Radiation Oncology. Dr. DeRobertis also served on the faculty of Harvard Medical School as an Asst. Professor of Radiation Oncology and a clinical faculty member of the Massachusetts General Hospital/Dana Farber-Harvard Cancer Center.
Dr. DeRobertis is widely respected as an expert in the treatment of breast cancer. She has published extensively and her work is cited in support of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network(NCCN) Guidelines for the treatment of patients with breast cancer. Her work has been honored by the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Association of Women in Radiology, the Berlex Oncology Foundation, the American Radium Society and the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium. She serves on the American College of Radiology’s Quality Research in Radiation Oncology Breast Cancer Committee and the Education Committee of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, and she is an American College of Radiology Practice Accreditation Site Reviewer.
Dr. DeRobertis is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Oncology. She sees patients with a variety of malignancies, and has a special interest in breast and gynecologic cancers. She has extensive experience with all forms of radiation therapy, including brachytherapy and intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT).
