Carolyn R. Blackman, MD
Internist

As the Maddock Center’s board-certified Internist, Dr. Blackman attends to patients on a daily basis. She also assists the Radiation Oncologists with pain management, wound care, nutrition plans, and general medical concerns.

Prior to joining the Maddock Center, Dr. Blackman was employed by the University Medicine Foundation where she worked in private practice in Internal Medicine. Previously, she worked for the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center.

Dr. Blackman received a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University and later completed a Post-Baccalaureate Program at Harvard University. She graduated from the Dartmouth Medical School/Brown University Medical School Combined Program in 1997. Dr. Blackman completed her residency in General Internal Medicine at Rhode Island Hospital in 2000. Her Senior Resident Research Project was in Breast Cancer Screening in a Medical Primary Care Clinic. Additionally, she served as Chief Medical Resident for one year at Rhode Island Hospital.
