The Maddock Center was first in the state of Rhode Island to install an IMRT-capable linear accelerator in 2000, first to bring HDR Brachytherapy to Rhode Island in 1998, and first to install an ultrasound localization device with real-time imaging.

Additionally, we are the only radiation oncology practice in the Northeast to specialize in unique, handcrafted plesiotherapy treatments for hard-to-treat or disfiguring skin cancers on facial or other delicate areas. All of our treatment plans and customized therapies are developed and administered on site by board-certified staff.
